Such was life in the Golden Gate:
Gold dusted all we drank and ate,
And I was one of the children told,
“We all must eat our peck of gold.”

Sfgate: Ship crashes into Bay Bridge tower, spills fuel oil
Sfgate’s Photo Slideshow on the oil spill
5 Blogs talking with photos the oil spill in the San Francisco Bay: Telstar Logistics, gCaptain, sfist, AIDG blog, JMG galleries

That is a very Retro image. Maybe because of the colors, I don’ t know but it looks vintage to me.
Nice picture, you’ve beautifull things on yot blog…:)
I agree about the vintage feel of this picture.
What a catastrophe with this oil spill. I think it is ironic to pair gold and oil – two things that seem to drive excess. And excess creates carelessness.
I love the photograph. It makes me want to cross. As always your poems and text are perfect for the picture.
You captured something special about the bridge. I’m not sure who to describe it. The fact that with every foot you move along the bridge you can find something amazing about it. You have to look up. Even the thousanth time you cross it is still awesome.
This photo brought back really happy memories of my trip to San Francisco – thank you.
I took a photo of a very similiar shot – and did some digital playing with it – I might put it on my site!
Wow this is a really cool site. I suggest you post it to http://www.pictpicture.com .
Excellent photo. Looks like you stopped traffic to take the shot.
