Road Trip; PhotosPacific Gas Line; Photo. More Ascender’s Photos on this blog. ~~~ I wake and feel the city trembling.
Yes, there is something unsettled in the air
And the earth is uncertain.

the images of SF were so varied in style and feel… for me love the lights twinkling ….
These are very interesting city shots. I love the lights and how vibrant they look. The next to the last one is very stark in a way but I really like the effect and how you can see in the window to the light strip (or that’s what I think I’m seeing). The very last one almost looks like Christmas lights and I had to look closely to realize it’s cars and I’m guessing lights on the bridge.
elk; thanks so much we went from sf to walnut creek. we got lost early on in the trip and ended up past the power plants and I have no idea what those things are in the field. they had little doors on them. a 24 minute trip ended up taking us 2 1/2 hours! a good thing we left early! we didnt get lost on the way home though – thank goodness for that! we just reached home and the storm hit.
carver; yes that is the bay bridge. I have to debate which makes me feel more claustrophic… bridges or tunnels. i take my camera along to take photos when going through things like this because it gives me soemthing else to concentrate on. of course I am in the passenger seat
interesting night shot
These are wonderful shots from the road! To me they are somehow moody and full of feeling. A different view of that which is man made. Thanks for sharing….roxanne
I really love these photos. There is something so magical about all the lights in the night (I won’t think about environmental impact
) I’m also glad I wasn’t the one driving the car through that tunnel. Tunnels make me extremely nervous as a driver.
Jeanna, Thanks. I can’t imagine driving through that every night from work in the big city.
rivergarden; thanks – we got lost in an area I had not seen before. The air in that area is horrible. No one should have to live with that
DebG – boy howdy… you and me both!
These are magical photos and evoke the spirit, speed, glitter and ghost of San Francisco. I drive across the bridges regularly and it really is as beautiful as the palette that you have drawn with your photos.
princess; definately ghosts. you are brave about the bridges – I am not a fan… though to live in this area you have to go over one eventually!
