Well, something must be done for May,
The time is drawing nigh,
To figure in the Catalogue,
And woo the public eye.
It’s the final week (downstairs) for my Scatterlings© Originals, though my mixed media miniatures continue until June(upstairs). Wasn’t there a movie back in the day called “Up The Down Stairs“? Something about going up the wrong stairway at school…. All I can find is this on a show called “Bootsie and Snudge” and hmmmm that does not sound like it at all.
Anywaaaaay… I need to find a new home for my larger original Scatterlings© pieces – contact me today to buy or display them so we can make arrangements next week! I may move the Pointillism Prints to a local coffee shop or into my etsy store which I am reopening next week. I mostly plan on featuring prints of my pastels as I receive many requests for those.

The up and down stairs at the San Mateo Library are separated by these very large stained glass windows. The US Green Building Council recently awarded the San Mateo library the prestigious Gold Certification for its Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. The award is given to the nations greenest, most energy effiecient and high performing buildings. The library’s contractor, Charles Pankow Builders, recycled 98% of the old library buildings materials.
The mixed media miniatures upstairs continue through June. It was a feat placing these in the display class; the little pieces were slipping and sliding around. This glass enclosure takes four or five large guys to lift it into place. I am checking in often in case of settling from our current cluster of mini quakes.
Scatterlings © Originals, Canvas Giclees and Archival Prints now available.

mini quakes?? oh my
ALL the work looks wonderful AND that stained glass window, I thought it was a fabric scultpure at first glance.
Stephanie; I have been going and looking at that map daily. The theory is that the area most active (Palm Springs) will trip the big one up the Andres Fault next to us. Lately I have been looking around at the different theories of what to do in an earthquakes. They used to tell you to go to a doorway but now they are saying to go into the fetal position next to a large piece of furniture (not under it or behind it). It isnt that there is a lot of time to think these through!
Oh that does look like a geometric fabric sculpture! Good eye. They are huge, there are several of them, and span several stories.
Having been in a couple earthquakes, I’d have to agree that there isn’t much time to think. Better to figure out what you’re doing before….
That’s a beautiful library. Your show looks lovely.
