glowing incandescently, the season
opens to itself, as if a familiar stunt
in a traveling show, a fabulation only

I hope you had a lovely holiday (not here in the US?… a lovely regular) weekend! Our Thanksgiving was a welcome break from a wave of work, and we had a nice time cooking way too much food for ourselves. One of the advantages of adult children is not having to do all the cooking! I enjoying my break hanging out with family & friends – we drove to the butterfly preserve (below) and played in Scrabble tournament with friends. I was not able to take our Scrabble set as I had altered it into art years ago.
December in California – I am still not used to it and we have been here over ten years. These photos were taken down by Half Moon Bay. Remember back when they predicted a El Nino winter for us? Not happening. We went to the beach in Pacifica yesterday and it was well over 75 degrees, yet, there are signs of Christmas everywhere.

I love seeing the world woosh by in this last photo. I was amazed last night driving home from yoga that all the Christmas lights were up in the neighborhoods, just like that!
Talk about moving along! That is great. Happy December.
Great photos!
Warm weather would be wonderful just now, its freezing here…
Oh my goodness it does look green and lush! Happy holidays
i have missed my visits here and as always your images are a treasure! Christmas in a warm climate is always different, I agree
