Tis But A Vague, Invarious Delight

Looking For My Third Eye; Dry Pastels

I would like to describe the simplest emotion
joy or sadness
but not as others do
reaching for shafts of rain or sun

I would like to describe a light
which is being born in me
but I know it does not resemble
any star
for it is not so bright
not so pure
and is uncertain

I would like to describe courage
without dragging behind me a dusty lion
and also anxiety
without shaking a glass full of water

to put it another way
I would give all metaphors
in return for one word
drawn out of my breast like a rib
for one word
contained within the boundaries
of my skin

but apparently this is not possible…

Toxic Rain; Oil Pastels

Art Of Emotion  is a collection of mostly loose and expressive; non traditional art which evolve on paper. Similar to the Vague Portraits  Gallery; minus the portraits.

My Life As A Root Vegetable; Oil Pastels

Many times I remain exact and proportionally correct, yet unfinished; using ample negative space and thoughtful, deliberate swaths of color to balance the compositions. Think: imaginary, diffuse just like thoughts and impressions, gestures to achieve a likeness.

Imprisoned; Dry Pastel

You’ll also find art here that is strange, vague and free-form; sometimes distorted abstractions. I let it happen and try not to be intellectual about it. It’s fearlessness and uninhibited. Vibrant colors burst, spirited and wild in their form and shape. Think: ideas, memories, dreams; energy and emotional depth.
